When people go places that are important to them, they do two things. they take things, and they leave things. They take pictures, souvenirs, memories, and stories. They leave...more complicated things. Sometimes just graffiti. Sometimes more complicated things that mark more complex transformations.

That's doubly true of people who take pilgrimages, or whose travels transform them.

This story explores how this practice plays out at the Vietnam War Memorial. And there are aliens. Maybe.

I'm trying an approach titled "Pay What You Want," because I trust my work. I know my stories are good. I also trust people to recognize that quality and pay what they think the story is worth. Also, I know how hard it is to judge new writers, so I want to make it easy for people to try my work.
