Present Simple vs Continuous · A2 · How We Use Our Phones | No-Prep ESL Grammar Lesson
A ready-to-teach A2 grammar lesson on the present simple and present continuous, built around how we use our phones.
Students read four short messages and decide: habit or happening right now? They then read a fictional blog about phone habits, with real figures on phone use, and sort the verbs into habits and things happening this week. Phone phrases, time words, -ing spelling and a mime game lead into the rules and a Watch out! box. They race in teams to choose the right tense, role-play a phone habits survey and mingle with Find someone who. Students always choose what to share about their own phone use.
