Solar System Explorer

Solar System Explorer is an interactive science activity where students work through 5 modules to build deep knowledge of Earth and space science, earning XP and badges as they progress. Students explore Earth's revolution, energy from the Sun, our solar system, gravity, and Aboriginal sky knowledge through a mix of orbit simulations, labelling diagrams, completing flowcharts, drag-and-drop sorting, fact matching, and guided scientific note-writing — finishing each module with a Boss Battle quiz. Through 30 activities across the 5 modules, students develop understanding of revolution and leap years, solar energy and photosynthesis, planet features and order, gravity and orbital forces, and First Nations astronomical knowledge, before unlocking a bonus Moon Landing mission. Students track their rank from Space Cadet to Solar System Master as they work towards completing the full Explorer challenge.
