Rih is simply the Arabic word for wind (or breath). This hood, sized from infant to large adult, is a barrier to that wind. Knit from the front edge to the back, with the neckband picked up at the end, it requires no sewing. The two color linen stitch is worked one color at a time, to make for relaxing and easy to create color variation. Linen stitch is used around the neckband for contrast and texture.
