After years of following orders, Aten finally reaches the point where he could no longer continue as he had before. The situation he had found himself in was no longer manageable, and he needed to exit for his own wellbeing. Awareness describes the lead-up to the moment when he decides that he must do what is in his own best interests, and leave behind everything that was holding him back from reaching his goals.
