Having worked in the marketplace for almost 30 years, I have had amazing experiences and been able to grow and leverage these for career progression.

These experiences have been gained from working with different managers. This book takes a look back over my journey and it is also a template to help people  manage their managers in whatever type of environment in which they find themselves.

The strategies I share in this book equips the reader with tools that will enable them to navigate their real-life situations and at the end of it all, achieve career progression.

It is my hope that people use this book as a tool to continue to progress their career, or if you are just starting on your journey, it gives you useful tips to maximize that journey.

For those of us at the tail end of our careers, I hope this book can be a tool to help you to mentor and coach the next generation of leaders.

This book is primarily a navigation guide. I recognise that some of the things that I share in this book may require a deeper dive, perhaps with a coach or mentor. I would encourage you to reach out to your mentor, your coach, your leadership team, or a good friend and work through the questions in the book. May the principles leap off the pages and push your career forward!

An eye opening and informative read!

This book was eye opening for someone like me, who is a typical lone wolf and somewhat of an introvert. I’m good at what I do (almost perfect I would say) but I find it incredibly difficult to understand why I struggle to navigate career change, especially when it comes to having to deal with other people (people who are vital to me progressing in my career.)

This book provided much needed context on how my ability to manage myself in a way that allows me to manage others around me and their expectations (valid or invalid) in a way that should make the career progression process a little less jarring for me.

The lessons are explained in a straight forward and simple way, allowing me as a reader to make decisions on what my next steps should be.

Definitely recommend reading it!
