Your library is not small anymore. Your filing system is.

One book becomes five books. Fifty videos become a hundred. Then one morning you need the cover you made in March, or the narration for episode three, or the photo that is definitely in a folder called "New folder (2)" — and the work stops while you dig. The Asset Library Kit is the system that ends the digging: a complete digital asset management (DAM) setup for a small creator, built out of the two tools you already own — ordinary folders and a spreadsheet. No DAM software, no subscription, no new app to learn.

It is the kit version of the library system my own shop runs on — designed for a working cookbook library of 100+ videos, hundreds of product files, and a multi-file bundle library — scaled so it works just as well at 100 files as at 10,000.

What's inside:

- The System Guide (PDF, 8 pages). Part 1: the folder tree blueprint — Library / Products / Videos / Graphics / Audio / Documents, plus the Archive and the Inbox. Part 2: the naming conventions — DATE_DISH_TYPE for video, ProductName_Component_FINAL for buyer files. Part 3: the one master copy rule and the version rules (FINAL means final; drafts carry numbers; never edit a master). Part 4: the register habit and the ten-minute weekly routine. Part 5: rights & usage in plain words. Part 6: the backup rhythm — two copies, one off the device, proven monthly. Part 7: the weekend migration plan — five passes that move an existing messy library into the tree without deleting a single original until the register checks out.

- The Asset Register (XLSX + CSV). Twelve columns — Asset ID, Title, Type, Series/Product, File name, Location, Size, Date made, Rights/Owner, Used in, Status, Notes — with filters and frozen headers, plus a READ ME sheet. It ships with 12 example rows filled in so you can see exactly how a good row reads.

- The Rights & Usage Log (printable PDF, 1 page). One line per asset or batch: source, license or permission, what it may and may not be used for, expiry, and where the proof is filed.

- The Library Map (printable PDF, 1 page). The single sheet that re-finds the whole library: where it lives, where the backups are, where the masters sit.

Start where you are. New library? Build the tree in an afternoon and never know the mess. Existing mess? The weekend plan was written for you, pass by pass.

Honest notes (please read — this is the fine print, in normal size):

- This is a system of folders + a register. It is not software. No app is included, and nothing organizes itself — the kit gives you the tree, the names, the register, and a ten-minute weekly habit. The habit is the part that works.

- The register's 12 example rows are fictional — an invented cookbook ("Sunny Skillet Suppers"), invented dishes, invented file names, each labeled "(example row)" in the Notes column. They show the shape of a good row; they are not any real shop's library or results.

- No income promises. A findable library saves time and stops you re-shooting, re-recording, and re-designing work you already own. It does not create sales, followers, or views.

- Standalone product. This kit is not included in THE VAULT, the Digital Shelf Kit, or any Ko-fi membership tier, and buying it does not include those products.

- Not legal advice. The Rights & Usage Log keeps your licenses and permissions findable; what any license allows is read from the license itself.

- One business per purchase. Use the system for your own library as long as you like; please don't resell or give away the kit files themselves.

Where it sits on my shelf (plainly): the Pipeline Checklist Pack ($16) is the checklist front door — the weekly motions. The Prompt Pack ($23) is words for your AI. The Asset Library Kit is the filing layer both assume exists. The Template Vault ($47) holds business documents; this kit holds the system that keeps those documents — and everything else — findable. Each is sold separately and does its own job.
