Irish Trefoil Poncho
Individual motifs were made and pinned to a pattern printed on fabric. They were then joined together using a filling stitch or "ground".
These Ponchos are worked using yarn and a larger hook. The motifs used, although based on traditional patterns, have been altered to accommodate today's style of crochet.
Materials: 500g [600g] Mohair or other Aran weight yarn suitable to be used with this size hook.
Equipment: 4.50mm hook, Needle for sewing in ends.
Tension: Using the materials listed above, 15 sts and 20 rows to 10 cm when working double crochet.
Sizes: Instructions are for Small/Medium and Large sizes. Each section is labelled for the size it is intended for. For the neck and bottom edging, the large size is in [brackets].
