Easter Roll and Draw Directed Drawing Games Easter Art Activities Easter Lesson
These Easter Roll and Draw directed drawing activities turn drawing practice into a game. Students roll a dice to decide what they draw next, so every student ends up with a unique, silly Easter drawing, and lots of laughter along the way.
The Easter Roll and Draw booklet suits elementary art lessons, classroom teachers, homeschool art, early finishers, sub plans, spring art centers and sketchbook prompts. Because each drawing changes with the dice roll, students can repeat the activity again and again without making the same design twice, while they practice drawing skills and artistic decision making.
WHAT'S INCLUDED (NON-EDITABLE)
- Easter Roll and Draw Cover Page
- Teacher Information Page explaining the activity
- Roll and Draw Assessment Rubric
- Student Reflection Worksheet
- 10 Easter Roll and Draw Activities, each with a Roll and Draw instruction page and a blank drawing page for the finished artwork: Easter Egg, Bunny Egg, Chick, Bunny, Bunny Portrait, Easter Basket, Flower, Marshmallow Chick, Carrot and Marshmallow Bunny
Each activity has four drawing steps. Students roll a dice to choose the style of each feature, then complete their final artwork on the blank drawing page.
HOW TO USE IT
Print the Roll and Draw worksheets you want students to complete, and decide whether to use the pages individually, as sketchbook glue-ins, or assembled into a full Roll and Draw drawing booklet for a longer spring or Easter drawing unit. Provide dice (one per student or one per table group) and choose the art materials students will use.
For each step, students roll the dice, find the matching drawing style on the worksheet, add that feature to their artwork, and repeat until all steps are done. They then finish the drawing on the blank artwork page. It is an easy activity for classroom management and works with many different art materials.
