This work was commissioned by Salastina's Composers' Collective.
Inspired by a windswept overlook on California's Point Mendocino Trail, sky, and sea, and stone explores the beauty of perspective through three interconnected musical landscapes. Vast registral space evokes the distance between sky and ocean, while each movement captures a different moment from the coastal vista: the horizon stretching endlessly overhead, a pebble tumbling toward the sea, and waves crashing against sandstone cliffs.
