Popular Trad & Session Tunes (wire) £14

This book contains 20 traditional tunes - jigs, slip jigs, marches, reels, Carolan tunes, Gaelic and Scots songs, a strathspey and a hornpipe. They are all popular at sessions, especially at harp festivals in Scotland. Arrangements focus on playing the tunes strongly on a wire-strung harp and being able to play along with others.

Everything is playable in a C or G tuning, though a couple of tunes need a D tuning to be fully accurate note wise, but there are some useful work arounds given if you don’t have C#s! Some tunes have two versions, for smaller or larger harps, and suggestions are given to accommodate different sizes. Fingerings and dampings are included, and all techniques and abbreviations are explained. Let’s go play with others in the sessions!
