Puppy Training Made Simple: The 8-Week Plan

Your new puppy is adorable. Your new puppy also pees on the rug, bites your hands, cries in the crate and pulls like a sled dog. This book gives you a clear, kind, step-by-step plan to fix all of it in the first eight weeks.

Puppy Training Made Simple uses modern, reward-based methods that match mainstream veterinary and behavior guidance. No shock collars, no prong collars, no yelling. Instead you get management, smart schedules and rewards that teach your puppy what to do.

Inside you'll find a supplies and puppy-proofing checklist, a minute-by-minute plan for the first 48 hours and first night, and copy-and-use daily schedules for 8–10 weeks, 10–12 weeks, 12–16 weeks and 4–6 months. You'll get a complete potty training system with accident handling and a potty log, crate training in seven gradual steps, and a real plan for nipping, biting and chewing.

Each core command (name, sit, down, stay, come, leave it, drop it and place) comes with numbered steps and a troubleshooting table. There are chapters on loose-leash walking, jumping, barking, alone time and preventing separation distress, kids and puppies, and daily games and enrichment. A socialization checklist covers people, places, sounds and surfaces, with safety notes on vaccines to discuss with your vet.

It all comes together in an 8-week day-by-day plan with weekly trackers and a Day 55 skills check, plus clear guidance on when to call your vet, a certified trainer or a behaviorist. General training education, not veterinary advice.
