[USA] Boeing HH-47 CSAR:

The Boeing HH-47 CSAR Chinook is based on the MH-47G and was special developed for Combat Search & Rescue in 2006. There are only 4 aircraft of this type being built, this due the fact that the GAO (United States Government Accountability Office) the CSAR-X Project to be re-bid. The CSAR-X Program was again terminated in 2009. In February 2010, the USAF announced to replace aging HH-60G helicopters, and deferred secondary combat search and rescue requirements for a larger helicopter. In a long process the Air Force did not choose the larger chinook, and the HH-60W entered service by 2020 to replace the older helicopters.
