Social Story Making Good & Bad Choices (Editable) Book Special Education

Our Making Good and Bad Choices social story navigates different social situations and scenarios at school where kids will have to make several choices throughout the day. They will learn the difference between good and bad choices, and this can open up the conversation about the impact these choices can have on them and those around them.

Each social situation shows a good choice and a bad choice. Some social situations include playing with friends, not understanding a homework assignment, sitting at a desk, reading a book, asking a question, playing a game, and more.

While learning about good and bad choices, you can help your kids develop important life skills such as self-awareness and empathy. It also encourages them to think critically and analyze why certain choices were bad.

This good and bad social story is also great for children with autism, who may have difficulty understanding social cues and making appropriate choices. The clear and simple language, combined with colorful illustrations, makes it easy for children to understand the concepts and apply them to their own lives.

This social story book is 8 1/2 x 11 with 39 pages of editable text and provides 18 social situations showing both good and bad choices. We have also included another book cover in case you would like to make this into two books and a black-and-white version to save on ink.

We recommended you print this book on heavy card stock and use thick lamination, then bind the pages together with coil binding, comb binding, or rings. You could also slip the pages into sheet protectors and insert them into a notebook.
