The wave and box hat is knit from the brim up and features an all over slipped stitch pattern.

It is easy enough for a beginner as, despite the look of the pattern, you only ever use one colour per row!

The hat can be made in a weekend or a couple of evenings and is a great way to experiment

with colour.

Notes

The pattern was originally written and published in 2014 but has been updated entirely with a new yarn, gauge and completely new written pattern.

Charts have been created for a dark main colour/light contrast colour and a light main colour/dark contrast colour for ease of use.

You can follow the charts or the written instructions in the table.

The table has been designed to allow each row to be tracked as you go and tells you when to stop and move to the crown decreases.
