The Zandra is a baby / toddler / young child’s cardigan that’s knitted top down. At the underarms stitches are placed on holders for the sleeves, then the body is continued in one piece. The sleeves are then worked top down too and are seamless. There are short rows which raise the back of the neck for a better fit.
The striking colour pattern is created by using slipped stitches, which means only one colour is used at a time. The pattern is written not charted.
A circular needle, rather than straight ones, is needed for the slip stitch body pattern.
There are 8 sizes: 3 months to 8/9 years.
