Runestones Wrap

Runestones is a textured wrap inspired by the shapes of Runestones. Textures of Twisted Rib and cables are worked to create geometric patterns, separated by borders of Stockinette Ridges.

SIZING
This accessory is designed in one size. Finished measurements are as follows:
Wrap width: 65” / 165 cm.
Wrap depth:15” / 38 cm.

GAUGE
Using 3.25mm / US size 3 needles, or needle size required to meet gauge, 31 stitches over 27 rows in Twisted Rib stitch, blocked, creates a 4x4”/10x10cm square.

YARN
The Runestones wrap has been created using Kokon Yarn’s Merino / Linen base, with Moon as the Main Colour, Rose Gold as Contrast Colour 1 and Ice as Contrast Colour 2. The base is light fingering weight, with a 90% Merino and 10% Linen blend (360m / 393yds per 100g).

YARDAGE
Yardages include ~10% excess. Three different yardage options are included below, to work the wrap in 1, 2 or 3 colours:
ONE COLOUR YARDAGE
Total yardage: 789 metres / 863 yards / 219 grams.
TWO COLOUR YARDAGE
Main Colour yardage: 616 metres / 674 yards / 171 grams.
Contrast Colour yardage: 173 metres / 190 yards / 48 grams.
THREE COLOUR YARDAGE (as in the sample)
Main Colour yardage: 616 metres / 674 yards / 171 grams.
Contrast Colour 1 yardage: 95 metres / 104 yards / 26 grams.
Contrast Colour 2 yardage: 78 metres / 86 yards / 22 grams.

-I-Cord edging
-Working flat
-Twisted Ribbing (i.e. working knits and purls through the back loop)
-Increasing and decreasing in Twisted Rib pattern (video tutorial support available)

-Working cables over 2 or 3 stitches

Enlarged charts and written instructions for charts to use if needed / preferred.
