Introduction to Keepsake Making
Beginners Course
Beginners Course
During this Beginners Course, I will introduce you to the art of Making Keepsake Items.
If you have basic sewing skills and clothes or blankets filled with memories that you'd love to make a cushion or a bunny with, then this course is for you.
I have over 12 years experience in making items from Pre-loved clothing and now I want to share some of my heavily tested tips to help start you on your Keepsake Making Journey.
During the Course, we will make 3 different Keepsake Items, starting from a basic Heart, then a Patchwork Cushion, before moving onto a Mini Keepsake Bunny. We will learn many tips and tricks along the way, including fabric types and how they work, pattern placement, how to stuff, patchwork, Hand Embroidery and much more.
There's a lot that goes into making Keepsake Items and each step is extremely important and for it you will need some basic sewing skills.
We will be covering how to ensure the fabrics are prepared correctly, each item is sewn securely, and all finishing details added enhance the product beautifully.
Details are my speciality an important aspect of Keepsake Making. There are many ways to embellish and embroider Keepsakes, so for this beginners course, we will be using Hand Embroidery to add features to our Bunny.
