But when students have to decide which tense they actually need without being told first, things get a little more complicated.

4 IN A ROW turns mixed grammar revision into a fast-paced pair competition where students have to think, answer and play strategically to win.

Students work in pairs as Player A vs Player B. Questions appear on the projected presentation, and all Player As or Player Bs answer at the same time.

But there's a catch: they have to write their answer down before it is revealed. No changing answers after hearing someone else! 👀

Correct answer? They get to color one circle on their 4 in a Row board.

Wrong answer? No circle this turn.

The first player to connect 4 circles horizontally, vertically or diagonally earns a point — and the game continues so they can score again!
