Sails on the Solent for harp
This composition for harp contains no lever or pedal changes.
The Solent is the stretch of sea between the Isle of Wight and the mainland in the South of England.
I composed this piece after walking along Hurst Spit to Hurst Castle. I enjoyed eating my lunch and watching the yachts sail in the summer breeze in the sparkling sea.
When I play this piece, I like to imagine a tranquil summer’s day with the sun glinting on the sea.
