This story opens with this line: "You’d think that everything would have changed when the human race grew wings, but you’d be wrong."

This short story explores this unexpected transformation, and what it does to people. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the designated hitter rule plays a part in the explanation of why humans grew wings--the DH, and the onging poor record of the Seattle Mariners.

I'm trying an approach titled "Pay What You Want," because I trust my work. I know my stories are good. I also trust people to recognize that quality and pay what they think the story is worth. Also, I know how hard it is to judge new writers, so I want to make it easy for people to try my work.
