P26S CGAU Test 1 — Strategic Study Pack (Complete Preparation Bundle)

Your 9-day plan to 20 August

The whole Test 1 study built in one download. What to focus on, in what order, and how to fit it into the days you actually have.

What it is.

Twenty-three files: a 14-page strategic Blueprint, four complete topic packs, a four-part Challenger and a full integration mock. The Blueprint tells you what Test 1 will most likely test, what the first five weeks of the programme put on and off the table, and how to spend each day to the exam on Thursday 20 August 2026 — 50 marks, 100 minutes, Question 2 of the combined sitting with MACF. Built on five Test 1 sittings read page by page (P23F through P26F, the latest March 2026), with the frequency analysis reconciled exactly to 250 marks, and every King V practice, Companies Act section and Auditing Profession Act provision checked against the source.

Why Test 1 is predictable.

Three topics carry between 32 and 50 of the 50 marks every sitting: the SAICA Code of Professional Conduct, King V, and the Companies Act. Together they are 206 of the 250 marks ever set — 82% — and the lowest they have ever come to is 32, which is seven clear of the pass line before you write a word on anything else. The SAICA Code has led a part in all five papers and has never been set below 15 marks or above 23. No other topic in this subject has a floor like that.

The ISAs are not tested here. Audit procedures, evidence, engagement acceptance — none of it is examinable at Test 1; it starts in week 6, after the paper. Introduction to Auditing is in scope but has never led a part in five sittings. Knowing both saves you a wasted week.

The examiner builds it the same way each time: a named CA(SA) put under pressure by someone more senior, a badly governed board around them, an ethics question anchored to one specific document in the scenario, a governance question fusing King with the Companies Act in a single unsplit mark figure, and a statutory duty to close. The Blueprint ranks every topic by likelihood and reproduces eight past requireds word for word, with the mark allocation exactly as the paper set it.

Two things no past paper covers.

King V replaced King IV on 31 October 2025 and every principle was renumbered, so every King answer in every past solution in circulation is wrong in its references — the Blueprint converts them in half an hour. And Companies Act sections 30A and 30B came into force on 22 May 2026, after the most recent paper, in a topic examined twice for 17 and 15 marks.

The 9-day plan.

One topic pack a day, in the order of their weight: the SAICA Code, then King V, then the Companies Act, then ethics, stakeholders and the Auditing Profession Act. Guide on arrival, mock cold and timed the same day, marked against the workbook before you sleep. The integration mock on Saturday, marked Sunday. The plan ends on Sunday the 16th, not the 20th — FREP and TAX sit on the Wednesday, and what you haven't learnt by Sunday won't be available to you on the Thursday.

What comes with each topic pack.

A topic guide built from first principles, with every block carrying the scenario trigger, the authority, the framework that earns the marks, and the traps a marker has actually penalised. An original mock question in exam style. And a seven-tab solution workbook in live Excel: solution navigator, scenario triggers, legislation and sections, principles tested, suggested frameworks, a marked solution point by point with per-line mark allocations, and marker notes showing what each error costs.

The Challenger runs one company — Amanzi Water Group — across all four packs. The scenario grows as you go, each part has its own workbook, and the parts are connected: what you're told in Part 1 is what you must prove in Part 4. The integration mock is a full 50-mark paper in the real mark proportions of the corpus, with a workbook that opens on a diagnostic mapping your marks back to the topics.

Structure. Support. Success.
