A* Evaluation Pack
The A* Evaluation Pack
If there's one thing that separates an A from an A* in Economics, it's evaluation.
A lot of students know the content, but when they get to the "however..." part of an essay, they don't know what to write next. That's where the top marks are usually won or lost.
This pack includes 80+ A evaluation points* (40+ Micro and 40+ Macro), covering the most common topics that come up in essays, including things like regulatory capture, moral hazard, behavioural economics, monopsony power, the liquidity trap, the J-Curve and much more.
Every evaluation point includes:
- A clear explanation of the concept
- A real-world example you can actually use in an essay
- A built-in evaluation point or limitation to help you develop a balanced argument
The aim isn't to memorise every point word for word. It's to help you understand the type of evaluation examiners are looking for, so you can adapt it to almost any 25-marker.
I went from a C in my Year 13 mocks to an A* in the final exam, and improving my evaluation was one of the biggest reasons why. This is the resource I wish I'd had when I started A Level Economics.
