Three Pieces for Carillon - Full Score PDF

Three Pieces for Carillon was written for Richard Giszczak, a carilloner and chemistry professor at the University of Michigan. The first movement "Kulintang," evokes Filipino kulintang gongs, the second movement "Hymn to Claude Vivier," uses melodic devices inspired by Vivier, and the last movement "Resonant Bodies" creates a stream of continuously modulating, whirling sound. Giszczak premiered the pieces at UM in 2007.
