The Wedding Dress is an original comedy-mystery musical by playwright and composer Brooke Dennehy Lakin. The tracks were recorded with Nathan from Moehau Music with the intent to use them as learning tracks for the cast of the show. The Wedding Dress tells the story of a family gathering to prepare for a wedding. As the dress, worn twice in a generation already, is tailored to suit the granddaughter, family secrets, suspicions, and stories begin to unravel.

1. “The Wedding Dress” – This song opens the show and sets up the themes and key ideas. It gives strong hints to the audience as to what to look out for in the unfolding mystery.
2. “A Mysterious History” – This song is sung by the women of the family as they muse over the mysterious history of the wedding dress, some wishing for secrets to be revealed, others trying to hide them. It sets up a suspicious tone and reveals a little more about each characters motives and feelings.
3. “Happily Never After” - This song is a play on many of the fairy tale type themes that appear in the show, and it’s really the sad sort of moment in the story when everyone is asking themselves – "Is this really going to be okay?"
4. “Reflections” – In this song all characters are present and having their ”reflections” about their lives and the decisions they have made. It’s an emotional crisis moment for all, with the lyrics reflecting this: “Who do I turn to? Who really understands?”. The word “reflections” has multiple meanings – to reflect on your life, the literal reflection the mirror shows them, and reflections of your self, your personality in the world around.
5. "Through That Door" – This song is really the emotionally redeeming number of the show where everyone is brought back into alignment with each other as they remember the importance of love. The charccter's wonder "what's through that door?" and they are answered with a resounding "love is worth all the risk you can take.”
6. “The Wedding Dress Finale” – This song is sung after the story has wrapped up. The performers return the stage for a rendition of "The Wedding Dress" to give closure to the show, abring the story full cirlcle.
