The Fractal Sweater is the ultimate colour exploration sweater, the possibilities are endless! This is a circular yoke sweater constructed in fingering weight yarn from the top down and uses mosaic knitting to create the fun zig zags. This project gives you the perfect opportunity to create your favourite colour scheme, or go stash diving to finally use those special skeins you have been saving. You can even use up partial skeins for some of the stripes!
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) - finished bust measurements for each size are: 36 (40, 44, 48, 52) (56, 60, 64, 68, 72) inches / 91 (101.5, 111.5, 122, 132) (142, 152.5, 162.5, 173, 183) cm.
Sample shown in size 2 on a 32” bust. Recommended ease is 6-10” (15-25.5cm) of positive ease.
Yarn Requirements:
The sample was created using Birdstreet Yarn Hiddleston 4ply (75% superwash merino, 25% nylon) (465yds/425m per 100g) in five different colourways:
Main Colour 1 – Chiffon
Main Colour 2 – Lido
Main Colour 3 – Candy
Main Colour 4 – Golightly
Contrast Colour – Slate
The total yardage required for each size is: 1305 (1510, 1605, 1760, 1910) (2075, 2230, 2375, 2535, 2660) yards [1193 (1381, 1468, 1609, 1746) (1897, 2039, 2172, 2318, 2432) meters].

Recommended Needle Sizes:
3.25mm (US Size 3) circular needle for the main body of the garment, or appropriate size to obtain gauge.
2.75 (US Size 2) circular needle or dpns for the neckband and cuffs.
Gauge: 26 sts / 36 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch. It is recommended to knit your gauge swatch in the same way the garment will be constructed, for this project this will be in the round.
