Broccowli is a generous cowl, sized to wear over your head. It covers your ears while still letting you see where you’re going. It doesn’t squish hair flat. And it looks mighty beautiful framing your own beautiful face. Most importantly, the design takes advantage of the drape of the luxe silk yarn, instead of fighting it.

Any aran-weight pure silk yarn or blend would give similar results. My lovely test knitter, Jenny Bannock, knit her Cowliflower sample in handspun Merino/Bamboo and feels the pattern would also work well in a springy wool like Polwarth or Cormo.
