The square is based on the first thing that one notices when it is going to rain: the gentle breeze gaining some momentum! The tufts of Extended Vst create an illusion of the gently swaying treetops. The stitches are placed one round below and provide a great texture to the square. The sides tend to dip in a bit, but settle on blocking. The testers have also suggested that going up a hook size helps, and if your gauge is too tight, you could try treble instead of the Extended Vstitch.
