1. QLA-FUN-001 — Qualitative Research Design, Paradigms, Research Questions and Methodological Planning
Description:
This Master Prompt w ould establish the philosophical, methodological and analytical foundation of a qualitative study before data collection and analysis begin. It would guide researchers in defining qualitative research problems and research questions; selecting appropriate paradigms and methodological orientations; distinguishing exploratory, descriptive, interpretive and theory-building purposes; identifying the phenomenon, context and unit of analysis; selecting appropriate qualitative designs; establishing purposive or theoretically appropriate sampling strategies; and developing a defensible qualitative research and analysis plan.
Particular emphasis would be placed on ensuring alignment between the research problem, philosophical position, research questions, methodological approach, participants, data sources and intended interpretation, rather than selecting a qualitative method merely because it is commonly used.
