Lose yourself in the sparkling stars of the summer night sky and knit your way through the legend of Altair and the Goddess of the Heavens, Vega. The lonely Princess of the skies was isolated traveling among heavens when she became smitten with a man playing music under a great tree. Their chance encounter bloomed into love, a forbidden love. When the gods discovered their love , Vega and Altair were dragged away and placed far apart in the stars separated by the Heavens. She vowed that one day they would be together again, and with a cruel twist of fate her promise came true. Even though the Great Celestial River (The Milky Way) lay between them, it is said that once a year on the 7th day of the 7th month a bridge of magpies form allowing the lovers just one day together.
