THE JEWEL - MYSTICAL CHANTS

For years, Alexander Gustave van Breemen travelled with his music through Europe, India and Africa, performing at festivals and concerts and guiding chanting gatherings that people from different traditions, cultures and continents could join. Since 2015, participants have described these gatherings, as well as this album, as deeply touching, joyful and inspiring.

The sound ‘Abbah’ in these recordings does not refer to something or someone. It is not a name, a deity or a God, but functions as a tool to attune to our transcendental nature.

During the three-year recording and mixing process, Alexander sought to preserve the atmosphere and depth of the actual gatherings, without compromising the clarity and quality of a modern recording.
