
Crocheted Sloth Cushion
A free pattern for our crocheted Sloth cushion. He is very squaishy, and cuddly. We refer to him as Marmaduke the slightly lopsided sloth. He's 55cm x 40cm x 17cm using the tension below. He has gorgeous Dorset button eyes, and the instructions for these are in the pattern.
You will need: West Yorkshire Spinners roving Aran Bluefaced Leicester Fleece in dark brown x 300g/ 450m; West Yorkshire Spinners roving Aran Bluefaced Leicester Fleece in ecru x 100g/ 150m cream; Regia Premium Merino Yak 4ply charcoal 60m; 250g stuffing; 2 hand turned mahogany rings; 4mm hook; yarn needle; size 16 tapestry needle; button bobbin (optional); scissor.
If you prefer not to use a roving yarn I would recommend West Yorkshire Spinners Aran Bluefaced Leicester Fleece, which comes in the same colour range but is a plied wool.
Tension: 12 sts = 10cm crocheted in dc
Abbreviations:
ch - chain
dc - double crochet
2dctog - double crochet 2 stitches together (1 stitch decreased)
pm - place marker;
sl st - slip stitch
st(s) - stitch(es)
* * - repeat between asterisks
