Rumi the Red Panda is an extra-large amigurumi at 15 inches in height! This cuddly doll is made using super bulky Bernat blanket yarn and a big, 6mm hook, making this project quick to work up. Rumi’s design features a pointed nose with a beautiful forehead curve, ragdoll arms and legs, rounded hands for children to easily hold onto, and a long striped tail. You can customize Rumi using the traditional red panda colors of red, brown, and white, or you can opt for a pastel look with the pink, grey, and white that I selected. Different yarn fibers, such as velvet, can also be used instead of blanket yarn for a soft look!
