A Shadow in Saqqara

The Photograph, The Vision, and The D'Jinn

In 2013, while standing in the ancient Heb-Sed Court at Saqqara beneath the shadow of Egypt's first pyramid, Scotty Roberts experienced something he has never fully been able to explain.

The moment lasted only seconds.

A vision.

A feeling.

A glimpse of something that seemed to belong to another age.

He photographed the courtyard and continued on with his day.

Seven years later, while reviewing old photographs from Egypt, he discovered something he had somehow never noticed before.

A figure.

Partially concealed behind a ruined wall.

Dark. Featureless. Human-shaped.

What followed would connect a chain of strange experiences spanning years: the unexpected death of a friend, an unexplained prophecy, mysterious music in the darkness of Luxor, encounters with psychics and archaeologists, overwhelming moments of emotion, and a photograph that continues to raise more questions than answers.
