Forest at Midnight is a top down, long-sleeved pullover with gentle waist shaping that leads to a slight A-line silhouette. Fair isle patterning adorns the yoke and sleeves.

Instructions for the fair isle patterns are both written and charted. Additional charts with no colors are included at the end of the pattern so that if you wish, you may color in the charts to match the yarn you’ve chosen.

German short rows are used to shape the neckline before and after the fair isle yoke pattern is completed. A link to a German short row tutorial is included in the Abbreviations/Glossary.

This sweater is designed to be worn with 0” to 2” of positive ease. The measurements given are the finished measurements. Options for shaping the body are included in the pattern.

The pattern is written to include eighteen sizes ranging from a finished bust circumference of 32” to 66”. The instructions have been separated into two files for ease of pattern reading.
