Solar System at Home

When we look up at the night sky, the 

universe feels so big and far away that it's hard to imagine how it all 

works. But the grand mechanics of space — spinning planets, orbiting

moons, and changing shadows — can actually be modeled right in 

our living room.

Today, we are going to bring astronomy down to earth. Using a 

simple flashlight and everyday objects, we will teach our children 

how the Earth moves through space, turning the night sky into a 

hands-on adventure!
