I recomend a medium weight yarn and 4.5 or 5.0 hook, however, use what you prefer
If pattern says; row 1 SC 100, chain 100+1 then turn and sc in 2nd chain from hook, and each chain across. At the end, chain 1 and turn. row 1 complete, move onto row 2. Remeber chain 1 at the end of each row
