ImageSonicFlux
Image-to-Sound Motion Spatializer by Literal Sounds Labs
ImageSonicFlux is an experimental audio plugin and standalone application that turns images, drawn paths, and visual shapes into spatial motion for sound.
Load an image, extract its contours, draw your own motion path, or save and reload paths later. ImageSonicFlux then uses that visual path to move incoming audio through stereo, binaural, and multi-output speaker spaces. It is designed for sound designers, experimental musicians, installation artists, audiovisual composers, and anyone interested in turning visual form into movement, gesture, and sonic space.
Unlike a normal auto-panner, ImageSonicFlux lets the shape itself become the motion system. A circle can become a rotating spatial orbit. A line can become a front-to-back movement. A hand-drawn gesture can become a live sound trajectory. Complex images can become detailed vector paths that drive sound movement in a unique and organic way.
Main features:
- Load images and convert visual shapes into motion paths
- Draw custom paths directly inside the plugin
- Save and reload path files
- Path Loop mode for repeating drawn shapes
- Gesture Hold mode for live drawing and holding the final position
- Cycle and Ping-Pong loop styles
- Stereo and binaural spatialisation
- Multi-output spatial motion for surround-style speaker setups
- Standalone version with audio file loading
- Output test and diagnostics for speaker setup
- Image controls for detail, tolerance, contrast, edge sensitivity, smoothing, and point density
- Modern dark/gold interface designed for creative audio work
ImageSonicFlux works especially well for:
- experimental music
- sound art
- surround and spatial composition
- audiovisual performance
- installation work
- texture movement
- drones and evolving soundscapes
- image-based composition
- abstract sound design
The plugin version processes audio from your DAW track. The standalone version can load an audio file for direct experimentation without needing a DAW.
