Bunting Baby Blanket (BBB)

In the Hand Knitting Design program at the Rhode Island School of Design, Lion Brand gave us a challenge to come up with a baby blanket using their Bon Bons
I used the Crayon colored Bon Bons (in my photos) but you can also use Koigu new mini skeins or stash yarn.
I thought rainbow garlands/bunting would be nice and different and give baby something to play with (the tops are sewn on securely, of course.)
Final measurement: 25X22”
Easily made wider and longer.
Materials: US 6, 8 needles for blanket, US 5 for triangles.
US 7 or 8 dpns for i-cord
750 yards of worsted weight yarn plus 40 yards for i-cord.
Alternate yarns:
4 skeins Cascade 220 plus scrap and 50 yards alt. color for i-cord.
3 skeins Madelinetosh Vintage or DK plus scrap yarn for triangles and 50 yards for i-cord.
Special techniques - icord.
