Hedda mittens

The “Hedda mittens“ are fingerless mitts worked bottom-up in the round, with striped cuffs and some simple and stylish colorwork, a perfect project to get into stranded knitting. Instructions are given for three different sizes.


If you want something matching to keep your head warm and cozy, you can find the “Hedda hat” in my shop as well.


SIZES:

Circumference at the palm:

S – 15 cm/6”

M – 17.5 cm/7”

L – 20 cm/8”


NEEDLES:

2.5 mm/US 1½ circular needle (40 cm/16”) or dpn´s for cuff

3 mm/US 2½ circular needle (40 cm/16”) or dpn´s for body


YARN:

Tosh Merino Light (100% Merino; 384 m (420 yds)/100 g) or any other fingering weight yarn that gives you the correct gauge.

Sample shown in colorways Jade (C1), Silverfox (C2).


YARDAGE:

C1: approx. 52 (61, 69) m/57 (67, 75) yds;

C2: approx. 77 (90, 103) m/84 (98, 113) yds;

Please note that the amount of yarn is an estimate, and it might vary according to your tension.


GAUGE:

32 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm/4” on larger needle in Stockinette worked in the round (blocked).
