Everything people does creates a culture. Every sport, every profession, every game. People who practice these activities live and breath these cultures, and take them for granted. Newcomers are baffled, even lost.

But sometimes, when newcomers persist, even something as arcane and old-fashioned as bingo might become fun, and might become a way to get in contact with family members. Even ones who...
