Urbanity is an arc-shaped shawl to go around your back and over each shoulder to show off the stair-stepping edge on the front. It is knit from the top down with garter stitch surrounding the skyline-inspired tiers. This pattern uses a special method to bind off each tier and pick up stitches for the next tier, forming a chain-like edging.
Exciting techniques you’ll learn:
Initial Exclusive release for Urban Fiber Arts (Portland, OR) during the Rose City Yarn Crawl (March 1-4, 2012).
Pattern uses 325-400 yards of fingering weight yarn with a US size 5/3.75mm needle.
