This tribute captures the emotional weight of the piper’s role in wartime: Playing on the platform as comrades say goodbye Marching unarmed into battle And offering a final farewell at the gravesides of the fallen With outstanding arrangement by Ian Macpherson BEM, and a moving performance by Scott Morton on the Blair Digital Chanter, this piece unites music and imagery into a cinematic tribute rooted in history, memory, and legacy. The video’s journey, inspired by World War I, was conceived, scripted, and produced by Scott Morton, who brought the story to life through AI-generated visuals and historical references — all carefully timed to the emotional structure of the composition. From fog-draped train platforms to quiet campfire moments, through the chaos of war and into the stillness of remembrance, The Piper’s Farewell is a tribute not only to sacrifice — but to the music that endures long after the last note fades.
