Dana Scully Shawl Knitting Pattern PDF - The X Files

An asymmetrical shawl inspired by Dana Scully from The X-Files.

Dana is introduced as a foil to Mulder. Her new partner is full of conspiracies, whereas Dana is a woman of science and logic.

We start with a strong garter stitch, with formal mock cables running along the length, as Dana always has an explanation. As the show progresses, Dana slowly begins to entertain the idea that everything cannot be explained and her own notions and beliefs are questioned. So we introduce an open-minded lace section that our formal mock cables flow into, just like Dana starts to open her mind and let her logic take a backseat at times. We finish with a strong formal border, but the mock cables are allowed to flow once more.
