Elinor and Marianne Shawl Knitting Pattern PDF- Jane Austen

A shawl inspired by the Dashwood sisters of Sense and Sensibility. I wanted it to be a shawl of two halves, representing how different they are. Elinor is steadfast, practical, and mostly keeps her emotions below the surface. The stalwart garter stitch with interruptions of lace show her quiet passion. Marianne is a dreamer with ideals, and wears her heart on her sleeve. The lacework represents her romantic notions. A garter border and a picot bind off hugs the lace, just like Elinor is always there for her sister.
