Empowerment or Expansion
From international amateur boxing champion, to housebound sufferer of horrendous anxiety and depression, to mind coach, mentor and author, Jamie Coulston's story truly is inspiring. We are thrilled Jamie will be hosting 2 workshops on behalf of the PHA over 2 evenings, 2nd and 9th December.
The workshops will be interactive and there will be a Q&A at the end. Jamie will also be sharing some valuable techniques to combat panic attacks.
In Part 2 Jamie will further demonstrate a simple breathing exercise to help with panic attacks.
Don't worry if you're unable to make the live workshops as you will receive the recordings after the event to watch in your own time!
Jamie's Story
Growing up in South London, Jamie faced significant challenges that tested his resilience from an early age. With both parents dealing with their own mental health issues, he experienced the effects of unstable parenting and a difficult home life. At school, Jamie was bullied for being small, skinny, and different, and struggled academically and socially due to ADD, OCD, and dyslexia. These obstacles eventually led him to leave school at 16, just before his exams.
As a young adult, Jamie developed an addiction, which continued into his early 30s. His world was shaken further when he lost his older sister to cancer in his early 40s. This profound loss triggered severe anxiety, depression, and even suicidal thoughts, pushing him to his breaking point. At that moment, Jamie knew he couldn’t continue living in fear and self-doubt. Determined to overcome these challenges, he embarked on an intense journey of self-discovery, studying the mind, body, and brain to find healing and peace.
Through this journey, Jamie not only found his way out of a dark place but also discovered a new purpose: to help others transform their lives. Over the past 8 years, he has founded and run a private mental health support group, partnered with boxing and mental health charities, and authored his first book, sharing his story and insights. Today, as a mind coach, mentor, and author, Jamie is dedicated to helping people understand themselves more deeply and work toward the lives they truly deserve.
Due to the content and work that has gone into producing these workshops, we are suggesting a donation of £20 to access both workshops and subsequent recordings. However, as both PHA and Jamie believe in access for all, we encourage people to pay what they can afford if unable to pay the full suggested donation amount of £20.
