- novelty yarns, wool, cotton, acrylic, all yarns work well together in this project
- a crocheted edge is optional once blanket is complete

Skills and Supplies Needed~

- knitting: cast on, cast off, knit
- 6.5mm (US 10.5) needles (circular 24” or 32” is recommended to accommodate large
number of stitches)
- 6.0mm (US 10) crochet hook (optional for crocheted border)
- Yardage: lapghan: 1000 yards (914m), includes border
blanket: 1800 yards (1645m), includes border
- scissors, large-eye blunt tip sewing needles to weave in ends
