Rooted in the funk and jazz idiom of 1970s American popular music, Jungle Boogie presents the brass band as an unlikely but entirely convincing vehicle for syncopated groove. The arrangement is built around a series of unison riffs layered over a driving bass line, gradually accumulating energy before opening into featured solo passages for Flugel Horn and Trombone.
