GOTHIC EMPIRE — KABZZZ

Album 3 | 8 Tracks | Do Not Disturb Recordz

Eight songs. Different cultures. One extraordinary musical journey.

Gothic Empire is the third independent album project by British-Sierra Leonean recording artist and producer Kabzzz (Mamoud Khalil Kabba).

Moving between African ancestry, Greek mythology, Christianity, spiritual traditions, relationships and experimental musical expression, the album celebrates the diversity of human experience.

From the streets of Manchester to the history of the Mali Empire, from ancient forests to Christian worship, Kabzzz explores identity, freedom, faith, survival and the search for knowledge.

The Eight Songs

1. Gothic Empire — A confrontational reflection on survival, spirituality, Black dignity, artistic independence and the struggle to practise peace in a world of conflict.

2. Great God Pan — A musical tribute to the ancient Greek deity of wilderness, celebrating nature, nymphs, panpipes and the forgotten traditions of mythology.

3. Oh Africa Rise Up — An uplifting African liberation anthem declaring that freedom and positive change should begin today.

4. Bame Nokowa — An experimental relationship song exploring jealousy, emotional uncertainty and spontaneous vocal expression influenced by speaking in tongues.

5. Kahshekatalteh — A deeply personal celebration of Mandingo and Fula heritage, the Kabba family tree, the Mali Empire, Mansa Musa, Islamic traditions and African family life.

6. Shaaasheeeshu — An experimental journey through distant sound, oceans, stars, family memories, ancestral drumming and the emotional connections music creates across cultures and generations.

7. Jesus Provide for Me — A heartfelt prayer to Jesus for continuous provision, including health, financial stability, peace and wellbeing.

8. Holy Jesus — A closing expression of worship and reverence for Jesus Christ as the Messiah, celebrating a holiness and divinity that the artist believes words cannot fully describe.
