The Only Day Blessed and Sanctified by God: The Sabbath

God sanctified the seventh day. Then who sanctified Sunday?

It is not about what people practice—it is about what God commanded.

why are Christians observing Sunday?

We often assume that what we were taught from childhood is the truth. We believe that what our church practices is right. We continue traditions passed down through generations without questioning them.

But have we ever stopped and asked this question?

“What does Scripture really say about the Sabbath?”

Sabbath means a day of rest.

According to Scripture, after completing His work of creation, God blessed and sanctified the seventh day. Later, in the Ten Commandments, He also commanded that the seventh day be remembered and kept holy.

Yet today, an important question stands before us:

If the seventh day is the day God sanctified, how did Sunday become the Sabbath?

Was it because Jesus was resurrected on the first day?

Was it because the disciples gathered on the first day on certain occasions?

Was it because Paul spoke about a collection on the first day?

Or was it because of the expression “the Lord’s Day”?

Does any of these things constitute a commandment from God?

An event is not a commandment.

A tradition is not a commandment.

A religious practice is not a commandment.

A popular belief is not a commandment either.

Only God can establish a commandment from God.

This book was not written to support one religious organization or to attack another. Nor was it written to defend human tradition.

This is simply an examination of what Scripture says.

This book invites you to follow a simple approach:

Do not begin with tradition.

Do not begin with church practice.

Do not begin with what you were previously taught.

Begin with Scripture.

In six chapters, this book examines the origin of the Sabbath, its relationship with God’s covenant, the difference between the weekly Sabbath and the annual Sabbath days, its relationship with the Kingdom of God, the question of obedience and human traditions, and the Scriptures commonly presented in support of Sunday observance.

This book does not tell you what you must believe.

Instead, it invites you to examine the evidence for yourself.

Because truth is more important than what we have always believed.

Obedience is more important than convenience.

The Word of God is more important than popular opinion.

In the end, there is only one question:

Will we follow what God has commanded?

Or will we continue following what human beings have established?
